30,000 group room nights with 15% savings
Congratulations to Tami Pharr at Zillow for winning the BTN Best Practitioner Award 2025!
Tami was recognized by BTN for her leadership and innovation rolling out hubli technology to transition from transient to group hotel sourcing saving 15% on group spend across 30,000 room nights.
As outlined on the BTN article, Zillow had been challenged to manage its core culture-building travel program that had grown to include 300 to 400 “ZRetreats” that enabled collaboration among 100 percent of the Zillow employees – all of which were now corporate travelers. Pharr moved hotel agreements to a room block strategy leveraging hubli, rather than relying on a transient travel strategy this resulted in:
- 15 percent savings across two-thirds of its total travel budget
- 7 figure annual hotel spend reduction
- 30,000 room nights booked
- 94% MSA compliance
- 11 hours saved per booking
Pharr also connected hubli tech into Zillow’s new travel management platform, and Zillow developed what is called a “hotel & flight tracker” that hubli is now recreating into its own tool to enable for other clients.
